1 Teams Each team has FIVE (5) boards and players shall play in descending order of Grade.
2 Entry Fee The entry fee is £10 per team.
3 Colours Away Teams have WHITE on the ODD numbered boards.
4              Start  Time.            Clocks shall be started  at the home clubs’ standard start time. These times are given in the 
  information  pack at the start of the season.
5 Game Duration. Rate of play is 30 moves in the first 65 minutes followed by a further 15 minutes to complete all moves in a blitz finish.
6 Blitz Finish
To claim a win a player must have sufficient mating material on the board. If not, then the game is drawn. For illegal moves, reset position and give opponent 2 more minutes on the clock, not an automatic win* . Scoring of moves is not required during the last 5 minutes of a player’s time.
7 Games Results on match cards or by e-mail ([email protected]) to Derek Laight within 5 days.
Each Game (board) won will score ONE point
8. Match Results The 5 Games (boards) are summed to a Match Result, which counts in the League as:-
League teams tied at the end of the season will be separated using game points won.
9              Trophies                                Trophies will be  awarded as follows:-
  (a)           One to each of the Division winners.
  (b)           One to each Division only for best  player.
10 Grading Individual Game results will be submitted for Grading at the end of the summer league.
11           Player                      (a)           Where a Club has more than one team  in any Division, a player may not play for both                     Restriction             (b)           A  player may play for only one club
  (c)           A player may play for any one or all  of one club’s teams PROVIDED he/she complies with             rules 11(a) and 11(b) and 12.

13 Penalties Infringement of any of these rules may attract warnings and/or penalty points.
14 Rules The FIDE rules of Chess apply, except * in item 6 above.
15 Dispute The organiser’s decision is final.
